Employee’s often find bizarre ways to try and motivate their staff, sometimes this motivation comes in all sorts of shapes and forms, the guys at Nokia design studio’s in Soho in London came up with this, it’s meant to help employees focus on the bigger picture. comprising of 13 separate panels each 3 feet wide, courtesy of designers Wai Chung Lao and Mark Holt, combining visual elements derived from the curve, vertical and diagonal of the letters ‘U’ and ‘X’, it helps the employees work towards the idea that the whole experience is a sum of parts!!
what do you guys think?

Remember that Skiff Reader that we did an issue on a while ago, well using the very same technology LG have developed a 19inch Electronic Newspaper. at 0.3mm in thickness and 130gms in weight, and only requiring power when the screen is refreshed its proven to be a lot less brutal on the battery too! Just like the Skiff Reader this is made of an electronic foil instead of glass used in most screens which make it light, durable and not to mention flexible! LG are planning to put the Skiff Electronic reader into production by the first half of the year! Hmm maybe that Apple Tablet doesn’t seem so appealing after all!! i’ve got the feeling the guys at LG have a lot more tricks up their sleeve! watch this space..

Imagine an umbrella without a canopy, one you could simply increase the diameter of its coverage with the flick of your hand, presenting the air umbrella, it works by sucking air from the bottom and blowing it out from the top forming an invisible curtain protecting you against, it works kind of in the same way a air curtain in most shopping malls does, creating a barrier of high speed air. what do you think? no more pokes in your eyes thats for sure!! and being tall myself! that sounds pretty good to me!!
