Shopping Cart Furniture

Shopping Carts! they are probably as ubiquitous as anything can possibly get, wherever there are people you can be rest assured that somewhere at the bottom of a river, an alleyway or street corner you will find an abandoned shopping trolley, Los Angeles based artist Ramon Coronado spent a lot of time living across a neglected area of LA called MacArthur Park, the area with its largely Hispanic population was a hub for crime, Ramon also found a general lack of recreational facilities for children and an abundance of shopping trolleys. As part of a project he transformed the discarded trolleys into useful objects like chairs and swings. rather nifty if you ask me.
