Guido Mocafico’s Serpentine Art

Feared universally and deeply misunderstood snakes around the world have been the subject of many a discussion for as long as one could remember, from being worshiped in India and Ancient Egypt to being considered the sign of all things evil in the Bible this slithery inhabitant had has every name tag imaginable, its only when you see one in person, you realize that along with the fear that seeps through your veins there is a blatant sense of beauty, from the colours they have to the patterns on their skin there’s no denying the fact that they are beautiful.

Paris based artist Guido Mocafino uses them as a paints on a neutral surface taking photographs of them that do justice to these misunderstood creatures. the close quarters that they are temporarily subjected to causes them to overlap each other creating shapes and patterns of bodies and colours.

Peugeot B1K Bicycle Concept

Concept Bikes! We’ve all seen them, every now and then in one of those trendy magazines, tech blogs, newspapers etc. they all have the same look, like something out of the movie ‘The Fifth Element’, with their anorexic frames and bright colours they often try to look different but only land up looking like every other concept bike there ever was, the basic design has not changed much since the invention of the bicycle itself, the crank-driver powertrain, frame variations etc.. the materials used might have improved tremendously but the don’t steer too far from the formula.

The guys at Peugeot Bikes have conjured up such a concept they might as well have been done in for withcraft had they done this a few centuries ago. Using a chainless-drivetrain, all carbon-fibre frame that has been angled to distribute weight effectively and transfer power down to the wheels and not to mention reduce drag. but the thing that sells it the most is the way it looks!! this would definitely stop a whole lot of traffic going through town!

Alternative Oyster

Ask anyone who lives in the city of London and chances are whatever their social background they will all agree that its that blue little card that they carry in their wallets that makes like in the capital that much easier, the Oyster card is a bit of a legend i itself, giving commuters a fast, economical way to whiz across the capital. Alternative Oyster founder Matt Longstaff realized that the chip of the card could be read through substances a lot thicker than the traditional blue plastic casing that they are made off and designed these truly beautiful alternatives, rather dapper we say!
