Astrid Andersen Spring/Summer 2012
Shot in a gym in the middle of Copenhagen this Spring/Summer 2012 Collection by Danish born Astrid Andersen definitely grabbed my attention. Astrid graduated at the top of her class from the prestigious Royal College of Art MA course in 2010. She held her first independent show in Copenhagen this year receiving enthusiastic appraisal and attracting a swarm of international press and buyers. She was also represented in London as part of the widely acclaimed Fashion East Installation in Somerset House. A result of this Astrid is based in both London and Copenhagen, using the best of two worlds by working and manufacturing from her studio in Copenhagen. I love how every piece in her collection has a familiar silhouette and at the same time an interesting twist. The blood red varsity jacket has to be my personal favourite.
