BAPE® x Baracuta
For those of you who have never heard of the brand Baracuta before. They are a deeply rooted street wear brand even before the term was coined. Adopted by British Mods and Suedeheads in the 1960′s and early 70′s. The brands initial followers were wind-weary golfers followed later by American Ivy Leaguers eager to capture that ultra neat look. Come 2011 A Bathing Ape have teamed up with the iconic British brand to give us the BAPE® x Baracuda G4 Jacket. Available in two colorways – navy blue and ivory white it features the Baracuta’s signature funnel collar, raglan sleeves, zip front, pull fastening waist to keep the wind out during the coming months, button cuffs and five-pointed umbrella back. The newly designed BAPE® head profile makes another appearance on a leather patch at the front.
BAPE® camo print can be found inside replacing Baracuta’s traditional tartan lining along with branding between the two collaborators. No doubt this will be an instant collectable. All we need now is a Vespa, some Ray Ban wayfarers and a stretch of road on the south of France.
