Dietrich Wegner: A-Bomb Playhouse
The irony of this is incredible. Seeking refuge in what looks like a mushroom cloud of a nuclear explosion. Created by artist Dietrich Wegner the playhouse is an early surrogate for the womb, an enclave to shelter its inhabitants from their fears and insecurities. Juxtapose this image of freedom and escape with the hellish exhaust of a mushroom cloud. The things I would do to have one of these in my room as a kid. Just brilliant!
