The Kooks for Mr Porter
Founded in Brighton in 2001 the Kooks have come a long way after breaking into the musical mainstream with their debut album Inside In/Inside Out. A self-described “pop” band, their music is primarily influenced by the 1960s British Invasion movement and post-punk revival of the new millennium. The band team up with Mr Porter for a special edition of the weekly style scripture that i like to call ‘The Journal’, Amongst things the band talk about the new album Junk of the Heart. The band also talk about the obstacles they have had to face over the years and trying to top the success their debut album had, always a hard act to follow for any recording artist. And finally an article on the journal would not be complete without a shoot styled by Mr Porter themselves. You can see some shots of the dapper Brighton boys below and read the whole interview at Mr Porter.com. Scroll down below the break for some pics from the shoot and a short film of an exclusive acoustic performance by lead singer Luke Pritchard, performing Junk of The Heart.
