Inspired by sharks, marines and surfers in the night Risco Tisci brings together strong utilitarian outerwear, American sportswear and impeccable tailoring. The collection opens with an overt street reference, rich in prints and jerseys mixed with workwear-influenced denim. Everyday men’s essentials, twisted with Givenchy tension of aggressive softness are given a new life.
Reworked baseball caps in pony, leather or shearling are paired with shark-tooth key-chains and horn earrings. Bags in large volumes with totes in nappa or in a nappa/felted wool mix or weekend bags in pony. Authentic hi-top trainers and heavy hybrid shoes contrast with elegant pointy derbies.
The silhouette is nice and clean, and I’m a huge fan of the colour palette used. Some strong pieces that will definitely stand the test of time in this line.
