For as long as i can remember people have always imagined what it would be like to have a device as thin as a sheet of paper that acted like a television screen, although lcd tv’s themselves have got more anorexic with the advent of LED backlighting, at between 40-55 inches for your average set, they are not exactly portable!!
Skiff has invented a flexible touchscreen reader in partnership with Lg who developed the screen especially for them, the device itself is a mere quarter of an inch thick but boasts an impressive pixel rate of 1200 x 1600 pixels, but the piece de resistance is the fact the screen is not made of conventional materials like glass but of a flexible sheet of stainless steel foil!
